Zhaixing Town, located between the Tengger Desert and the Badain Jaran Desert, is the first desert astronomy town in China. It intended to install a retractable telescope enclosure to keep the telescope free from heat and sand in the daytime while open at night to observe the milky way.

Retractable Telescopic Enclosure

It rarely rains in the desert area. The retractable telescopic enclosure aims to protect the telescope from sunlight and sand in the daytime while providing an outdoor platform for star-gazing. Therefore, the telescopic enclosure is closed in the daytime while automatically open at night for tourists.

Customized Enclosure

According to the budget and requirement of our client, KAMBO customized a 68.90ft*39.37ft enclosure to meet the needs. It allows up to 750 tourists to observe the gorgeous milky way at the same time.

Also, the commercial enclosure is white to reflect sunlight in daytime. Usually, retractable commercial enclosures use transparent panels to let sunlight in. As we mentioned before, this retractable telescopic enclosure needs to keep sunlight out in the day, therefore, we customized while panels to meet the need.
